Cryotherpy - Blemish Removal
Cryotherapy, known as “cold therapy’ is a tried and tested technique for removing skin growths such as skin tags and warts. The technique employs liquid oxygen to remove skin lesions by freezing the skin cells until they die and fall off. The freezing treatment normally involves 5-10 seconds of the liquid spray being applied locally to the target area. After the treatment, your growth or lesion will scab over and fall off within one to two weeks. The process is easy and comfortable and over in a matter of seconds. The duration and number of treatments required depends on the skin type and nature of the problem.

FAQ’s
Are there and side effects?
The area treated is frozen by Cryotherapy. This kills the localised cells in the area which cause them to shrivel and die. The treated area may go darker over a few weeks, but will return to normal pigmented skin in around 6 weeks.
How long are Cryotherapy treatments?
The duration of the treatment time will depend on the surface area and thickness of the tissue being treated. Upon the clinical evaluation of the depth of the area, the clinician will choose application time from 1 to 30 seconds.
How much will the treatment cost?
The cost of treatment will depend on the size of the are. We will discuss costs once we assess the area.
How safe is Cryotherapy?
Cryotherapy is relatively low-risk procedure. It delivers a freeze directly to the area, and not the healthy surrounding tissue. The Cryotherapy device is both CE and FDA registered.
Is the treatment painful?
There will be a sensation similar to a stinging nettle on the skin when the Nitrous Oxide reaches the bottom of the area. There might be a little residual stinging for a few minutes after treatment, this is normal.
